A capsule wardrobe is a small set of clothes where almost everything goes with everything else. Fewer pieces, fewer decisions in the morning, and more outfits than you would expect. This is the idea behind our collection, so here is how to build one, using real pieces from The Capsule.

Start with a Base

The base is what you wear most days. Keep it simple and in colors that mix easily.

  • A good tee: our Essential Cotton Tee comes in white, black and beige, in a soft cotton blend with a relaxed fit. Start with one or two colors.
  • A shirt that layers: the Classic Denim Shirt has a slim fit and a little stretch. Wear it buttoned, open over the tee, or tied at the waist.
  • A warm knit: the Mock Neck Wool Sweater is 100% wool with a regular fit, warm enough for cold days and smart enough for work.

Add One Great Pair of Trousers

One bottom that goes with every top does a lot of work. Our Vintage Wide Leg Jeans have a mid-rise waist and a light acid wash, and the full length works over sneakers or heels.

One Layer for Everything

The Minimalist Zip Jacket is light and stretchy, in nylon and spandex. It goes over a tee for errands and over a sports bra after the gym, in white, green, rose, blue or black.

Two Dresses for Going Out

Finish with One Accessory

A statement piece changes a simple outfit without adding more clothes. Our Chunky Resin Bangle comes in gold, milk and beige tones, with an inner diameter of about 6 cm.

Outfits from the Same Pieces

  • Tee, wide-leg jeans and sneakers for a relaxed weekend.
  • Wool sweater and jeans with boots on colder days.
  • Denim shirt open over the tee, with jeans, for an easy double-denim look.
  • Sports bra and zip jacket for the gym, then add the jeans and you are ready for lunch.
  • Evening dress with the bangle for dinner.

Start small and add a piece only when it works with at least three things you already own. Want more ideas for the jeans? Read How to Style Wide-Leg Jeans.
